Mother Martha Garcia 4 October 2006

On 4th October, 2006, our Mother, Martha Garcia, celebrated 25 years of consecrated life to God. The Eucharistic celebration occurred at 6:30 p.m. At this time, we normally have Holy Mass on weekdays. On this occasion, her religious family accompanied her, as her parents and siblings were unable to be present. In the morning, the Sisters awakened her with songs. At dinner, the Franciscan Brothers fraternally shared with us a while.

Our Mother Martha, wished to celebrate in simplicity, but the Sisters went all out to prepare the décor in our house, the food and songs for the Mass. Everything turned out beautifully. After Mass, although she did not wish a party, the parishioners, who attend Mass in our Church, organized a dinner, as they wished to get to know the Sisters who most recently had come to Alamo. They prepared everything and we shared with them in our garage and in a large area adjacent to our Church.

We thank God for these 25 years of our Mother Martha’s religious life.
