Visitation of the Monasteries

The Mother President and the Religious Assistant of Our Lady of the Angels Federation, Sr. Maria de Cristo and Fr. Bill visited four of the Monasteries of the Federation:

21-24 of February they visited the Monastery of Our Heavenly Father in Pueblo, CO;

28-31 of March the Monastery of the Blessed Sacrament in Amarillo, TX;

2-5 of April the Monastery of St. Joseph and St. Rita in Alamo, TX;

10-13 of May the Monastery of Our Lady of the Light in Denver, CO.

The first and second day they gave some talks about our Rule and Constitutions to help the sisters to a better observance of our way of life. The themes of the talks were: our vocation, our mission in the Church, communications and vocations to our way of life. On the third day they had visitation with individual sisters and on the fourth day of their visit they reflected with all the sisters about the various needs of their particular communities.

In the month of June they will visite the Monastery of St. Veronica Giuliani in Wilmington, DE.

During the visit to the Monastery of Alamo, TX they enjoyed a representation of the life of Our Mother Saint Clare by a group of young people called “Jovenes Servidores de la Palabra”. This was a great thing especially now that we are celebrating the 800th anniversary of the consecration of Saint Clare in the Portiuncula.
